Kelis Is Back!

Today the EVER FABULOUS Kelis released a new song, entitled Acapella, and some AMAZING new promotional pictures via her website (letting everyone know via Twitter). The song has a house electro vibe with that unique Kelis twist to it and the pictures are GLAMED OUT, filthy opulence all the way, with Kelis rocking a platinum blond and brown mullet, intense lashes, and some serous accessories.

I just LOVE her, her constantly evolving rebellious style, her wonderful music, EVERYTHING!

Rihanna & Marchesa

Last night Rihanna showed up the the American Music Awards in a black and white geometric cut out (almost paper like) Marchesa gown from the S/S 2010 collection. I remember seeing the gown during fashion week and wondering who would have the guts to attempt pulling it off. Well now we know.

All I have to say is Rihanna's stylist has been putting in WORK for a while now and I appreciate it! See Rihanna working the gown on the AMA red carpet above and a fashion week photo of it below.

LV Cruise Catalogue

This week the images form Louis Vuitton's 2010 cruise catalogue were released. The pictures were shot on location in Saint-Tropez and are the perfect personification of pure luxury and casual elegance.

This past weekend Victoria Beckham was photographed arriving at Heathrow airport wearing an AMAZING Louis Vuitton messenger bag with fox tail charm accent from the S/S 2010 collection. See Victoria rocking the hell out of the bag above and the bag on the Paris runway below.

31 Rue Cambon

Yesterday via his purple DIARY blog Olivier Zahm (of Purple magazine) reviled images from the first issue of 31 Rue Cambon, a Chanel magazine he has been working on with the brands creative director Karl Lagerfeld. Zahm said in his post that the magazine, which he is art directing, will be distributed worldwide in all Chanel stores.

Pretty exciting, especially if you love Lagerfeld's photographs and models Baptiste Giabiconi, Freja Beha Erichsen, and Lara Stone (all seen in Zahm's 31 Rue Cambon preview above) as much as I do. Can't wait for more.

Beyonce & Gaga

Today Beyonce released the video for the remix of her song Video Phone. The remixed song features Lady Gaga as dose the video. This video is colorful, CRAZZZY, and full of interesting fashion, leaving me at a loss for further words to describe it. Watch and enjoy.

Gaga & McQueen

There could not be anything more appropriate for a fist post than the perfect unification of my two great loves (and what I envision the focus of this blog to be in the future) Fashion and Music in the incarnation of Lady Gaga and Alexander McQueen.

Lady Gaga has finally released the video for Bad Romance, the fist single of her upcoming album The Fame Monster, and it is AMAZZZZING. In it she rocks some FAB looks from Alexander McQueen's S/S 2010 collection which debuted in Paris only last month. Incidentally the Paris show for the collection, which was streamed live around the world on McQueen's web page, was also where Gaga chose to debut the single. Take a look at the EXQUISITE video, in my opinion Gaga's best to date, and some of the McQueen looks from the video on the Paris runway. Here's hoping there will be much more collaboration between these two innovative forces.
